Save to a Local File
  1. Open the start menu and search for Voice Recorder
  2. In the Voice Recorded, press the microphone icon to begin recording.
  3. Press the stop button to stop recording. Your new recording should be listed at the top of the window.
  4. By default, all recordings are saved in Documents>Sound recordings. Search this directory for your recording.
  1. Open Quicktime.



  2. In Quicktime, choose File > New Audio Recording.



  3. A pop-up window will prompt you to allow Quicktime to access the microphone. Click OK.



  4. To change the recording settings, click the arrow next to the Record button. Then choose your microphone and recording quality.



  5. To monitor audio while it's being recorded, use the volume slider.



  6. Click the Record button to start recording. Click it again to stop recording.



  7. Save your file by clicking File > Save in the top menu. Assign the file name you'd like, choose your file destination (default is Documents), and hit Save.



Online

There are several online tools available that allow for sound to be recorded within the browser. Two examples can be found below:

Once the audio has been recorded it will still need to be saved to your computer and uploaded to onQ.

Please note: due to security restrictions, most online recording tools will not work in Safari.

Mobile Apps

Since Arts and Science Online does not currently support mobile device and will not accept any liability due to damage or loss of data caused by any associated mobile device recording software. Proceeding with the steps below are at the user's own risk.
