titleHosting your own meeting

Zoom offers a free tier that allows for meetings up to 100 participants to be hosted by anyone with a Zoom account. With the free version it should be noted that:

  • Meetings can only be hosted for 40 minutes
  • Meetings can only be recorded locally
  • Advanced functionality (e.g. breakout rooms) are not available

To host your own Zoom meeting:

  1. Sign up for your free account at https://zoom.us/freesignup/
  2. With Zoom installed, schedule a meeting and send it to your participants
  3. Join the meeting and when prompted, login with your Zoom credentials.
